Beautiful Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Kutani Brush Wash Underplate Gilded
Features:
This is a beautiful little Kutani brush was with attached underplate.
It is a porcelain that is hand painted with a variety of flowers in green, red and gold.
The entire thing is hand painted and then there is a gold gilt treatment on top of that.
So charming. The details are amazing. This one is unmarked but I think it is Japanese.
I feel like it probably had a little stopper to cap because the rim is bisque.
The underplate is egg shaped and the pot s round.
Size:
It measures about 4” x 3” at the widest x 2 1/4” tall.
Condition:
It is in excellent condition.
There are no chips, cracks, crazing or other damage that I could see.
Who would like it?:
This wonderful piece would be great addition to any Japanese Asian oriental calligraphy china serving art brushwork
entertaining accessories collection.
